1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the worldluxcruises.com website (“Site”) and any cruise booking made through World Lux Cruises (“World Lux Cruises,” “WLC,” “we,” “us,” “our”). World Lux Cruises is a cruise booking platform operated by Sharaf Travel Services (L.L.C.). A licensed travel agency registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
By browsing this Site, submitting an enquiry, or making a booking, you (“Guest,” “you,” “your”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of the relevant Cruise Line distributed through this website.
If you are booking on behalf of other guests, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf and will inform them of all relevant terms, including payment and cancellation conditions.
2. Who We Are
2.1 World Lux Cruises is a multi-line cruise retailer. We sell cruise holidays on behalf of a number of independent cruise operators (“Cruise Line(s)”).
2.2 World Lux Cruises acts strictly as a selling/booking agent for the Cruise Line. We do not own, operate, crew, or control any vessel, and we are not the provider of the cruise itself.
2.3 When you make a booking through the Site, you enter into two separate relationships:
- A service agreement with World Lux Cruises / Sharaf Travel Services (L.L.C.), covering the booking process, payment facilitation, and customer service we provide; and
- A carriage/the Cruise Line, the party actually providing your cruise.
2.4 The official Terms and Conditions of the Cruise Line (“Cruise Line T&Cs”) apply to every booking in full, in addition to these Terms. The Cruise Line T&Cs govern matters including (without limitation): fare rules, the Cruise Line’s own deposit and final payment schedule, cancellation and refund tiers, itinerary and schedule changes (the cruise liner reserves the right to change/modify to the guest with or without prior notice), onboard conduct, health and medical requirements, baggage, embarkation/disembarkation, and the Cruise Line’s liability to you. We will provide a link to, or copy of, the applicable Cruise Line T&Cs at the time of booking, and you are solely responsible for reading them before confirming your booking.
2.5 Where these Terms and the Cruise Line T&Cs conflict: matters relating to the cruise product itself (the Cruise Line’s pricing, onboard experience, itinerary, and its own cancellation/refund rules) are governed by the Cruise Line T&Cs; matters relating specifically to the booking service, deposit, and administration fees charged by World Lux Cruises are governed by these Terms.
3. Making a Booking
3.1 Enquiries submitted through the Site are quotation requests only and do not constitute a confirmed booking.
3.2 A booking is confirmed only once (a) all required guest and payment details have been provided, (b) the applicable WLC Deposit and/or any Cruise Line deposit has been received, and (c) World Lux Cruises has issued written booking confirmation.
3.3 You are responsible for checking that all names (exactly as per passport), dates, cabin category, and other details on your booking confirmation are correct. Cruise Lines may charge correction or reissue fees for errors reported after confirmation.
3.4 Prices shown on the Site are indicative and subject to availability and change until a booking is confirmed in writing.
4. Payment
4.1. To hold and confirm a cruise booking through the Site, full payment is payable at the time of booking.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Cancellations must be requested in writing (email – booknow@worldluxcruises.com) to World Lux Cruises.
5.2 Cruise Line cancellation charges. The Cruise Line’s own cancellation fee schedule applies to every booking. Please refer to the specific Cruise Line T&Cs provided at booking for the exact tiers.
5.3 World Lux Cruises administration fee. In addition to any Cruise Line cancellation charge, World Lux Cruises applies an administration fee of 10% of the total booking value (the total cruise fare paid or payable for the booking) on any cancellation, regardless of reason or how far in advance it is made.
5.4 We strongly recommend all Guests take out comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover, from the time of booking (see Section 9).
6. Amendments and Name Changes
6.1 Requests to change sailing date, itinerary, or cabin category are treated as a new booking and may be subject to the Cruise Line’s cancellation charges on the original booking, plus current pricing on the new booking.
6.2 Minor amendments (e.g. name corrections, contact detail updates) and any Cruise-Line-permitted transfers are subject to the Cruise Line’s amendment policy and any fee we notify you of at the time of the request.
7. Travel Documents, Visas, and Eligibility
7.1 It is the Guest’s sole responsibility to hold a valid passport (with the minimum validity required by the Cruise Line and destination countries), any required visas, and to meet all entry requirements for every port of call. World Lux Cruises and Sharaf Travel Services (L.L.C.) accept no liability for denied boarding or entry due to inadequate travel documentation.
7.2 Guests are responsible for checking government and Cruise Line travel advisories, and any vaccination or health-declaration requirements applicable to their sailing.
8. Health and Fitness to Travel
Guests must be medically fit to travel and must disclose any medical condition, mobility requirement, or pregnancy to us in line with the Cruise Line T&Cs. The Cruise Line reserves the right to refuse boarding in accordance with its own policies; World Lux Cruises is not responsible for such decisions.
9. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend Guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, covering at minimum trip cancellation/curtailment, medical and emergency evacuation, and baggage. World Lux Cruises does not provide travel insurance and is not responsible for losses that would have been covered by insurance.
10. Our Liability
10.1 As we act as booking agent only, World Lux Cruises’ liability is limited to the accurate processing of your booking and payment in line with your instructions, and to the customer service we directly provide.
10.2 World Lux Cruises is not liable for the acts, omissions, cancellations, itinerary changes, service standards, or default of any Cruise Lines & the above mentioned providers/parties T&C, port authority, airline, or other third-party supplier. Claims relating to these should be directed to, and are governed by, the relevant Cruise Line T&Cs.
11. Force Majeure
Neither World Lux Cruises nor the Cruise Line is liable for failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disaster, war, epidemic/pandemic, government action, port closures, or industrial action. Cancellation charges under Section 5 and the Cruise Line T&Cs may still apply in such circumstances unless the Cruise Line states otherwise.
12. Website Use and Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Sharaf Travels/World Lux Cruises or its licensors and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission. Cruise Line names, logos, and ship imagery remain the property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive/promotional purposes only.
13. Privacy
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and is shared with the relevant Cruise Line and other suppliers only as necessary to fulfil your booking.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you confirm your booking will apply to that booking.
